Fire and EMS crews responded around 7:39 p.m. to the area of Eastwood Place for a report of a mental health and self-harm attempt.
Law enforcement staged nearby, made verbal contact with the man and later reported he was restrained and placed in protective custody. Officers and deputies then responded to the area of 29 1/2 and Parkway Drive after the male in custody became combative, requiring additional law enforcement to restrain. No injuries were currently reported.
