
CLIFTON, CO — A 37-year-old Clifton man was arrested Tuesday following an assault investigation that began when deputies found an unconscious person inside a camper.
On September 28, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a possible assault in the 3200 block of E 1/2 Road. Deputies located the unconscious victim in a camper on the property, and an ambulance transported them to an area hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, the victim had sustained injuries from an assault and was living with the suspect, identified as Zachary Walker, 37, at the time.
An arrest warrant was issued for Walker on September 29. Deputies located him that same day and took him into custody.

Walker was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he was booked on the following charges:
- Third-Degree Assault (Misdemeanor 1)
- Domestic Violence
- Contempt of Court Warrant
