Stolen Vehicle Recovery Leads to Arrest

CLIFTON, CO — A 35-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested Thursday afternoon after deputies located a stolen vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine in his possession.

On October 8, at approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to the recovery of a stolen vehicle in the 500 block of 32 1/2 Road in Clifton.

During the investigation, deputies located the vehicle with Michael Degregorio, 35. According to authorities, Degregorio was in possession of the keys and just over 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Degregorio was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Second-Degree Motor Vehicle Theft (Felony 4)
  • Unlawful Possession of More Than Four Grams of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (Drug Felony 4)
