A train struck a semi trailer that was caught by crossing arms around 2:30am early Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported and only the semi trailer section was totaled. The accident happened at the railroad crossing at 20 Road and River Road in Fruita. Both the semi driver and Union Pacific called in the accident separately. Driver claimed that the trailer section became tangled in the crossing arms and he was unable to move out of the trains way.
