Two vehicle accident with airbag deployment. Witnesses are reporting that one person is a vehicle in unconscious with agonal breathing. White truck vs black SUV. One of the vehicles also hit a tree on the roadside. East bound traffic on North Avenue is closed. One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police are interviewing multiple witnesses that remained on scene. Police have arrested the female driver of the white truck.

First responders with the Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the area of 28 ยพ Road and North Avenue for a two-vehicle crash on 10/10/24 at approximately 9:10 p.m. One driver was transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injuries and the other driver was evaluated on scene. The circumstances of this crash are under investigation, though speed is being looked at as a factor in this crash. The eastbound lanes of North Avenue between Harris Road and Melody Lane will remain closed for several hours as first responders remain on scene.
