Two wanted in connection with vehicle accident in front of Walmart on North Avenue. Previous article: Vehicle Accident, Walmart, 28 3/4 Rd & North Ave

From the Grand Junction Police Department:

First responders with the Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the area of 28 ยพ Road and North Avenue for a serious injury crash on 10/10/24 at approximately 9:10 p.m.

Through investigation, officers discovered a truck traveling at a high rate of speed struck a vehicle from behind, causing serious bodily injury to the driver who remains in the hospital. Further investigation revealed that the driver of the truck, identified as Jacob Ryan Konig, age 42, fled the scene prior to law enforcement arriving at the crash. The Grand Junction Police Department has issued warrants for Konig and Nichole Serena Melvin, age 36, the passenger in the truck, who have not been located at this time.

The GJPD is requesting help from the community in locating Jacob Ryan Konig and Nichole Serena Melvin.
