
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — At approximately 1:00 a.m. on June 26, 2026, the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to multiple fires in a residential neighborhood bounded by 10th Street and 12th Street, and extending from Orchard Avenue to Walnut Avenue.
The fires burned grass and brush along several fence lines before spreading and damaging a storage shed and a three-story residential condominium. As firefighting resources became committed to the incident, the Clifton Fire Protection District responded to provide mutual aid and assist Grand Junction firefighters.
Due to the suspicious nature of the fires, investigators with the Grand Junction Fire Department and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control responded to the scene and are working closely with the Grand Junction Police Department.
There were no reported injuries.
The origin and cause of the fires remain under investigation.
